WIDA ACCESS Assessment
Students identified as English language learners participate in WIDA ACCESS assessments to measure English proficiency. Results help educators understand language development and inform instructional planning.
STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES AT MULTICULTURAL ACADEMY
As a multicultural learning community, we value the languages and experiences our students bring to school.
Our team supports English learners in developing the language skills needed to participate confidently in classroom instruction while strengthening reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
Through collaboration with classroom teachers, we integrate language development into everyday learning rather than treating it as a separate experience.
PERSONALIZED SUPPORT FOR EVERY LEARNER
Every English language learner brings unique strengths, experiences, and educational needs. Our ELL Program provides differentiated instruction and personalized language support based on students' grade levels, English proficiency, and academic needs.
BUILDING ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
Our ELL Program integrates listening, speaking, reading, and writing to help multilingual students build confidence, strengthen communication, and succeed academically.
Students develop their ability to understand spoken English, follow classroom instructions, participate in conversations, and identify important information from oral communication.
Students build confidence expressing their thoughts, asking questions, participating in discussions, and communicating effectively with teachers and classmates.
Students strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, and their ability to understand increasingly complex written materials across academic subjects.
Students develop sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, and written expression to communicate ideas clearly in classroom assignments and everyday situations.
